Went today.
Gorgeous day. Sunny 72 calm wind
Marked fish in 25 ft of water.
Fishing was surprisingly slow . Brought home 8 keeper crappie and a few bluegill .Nothing big.
The way we were marking them we should have been tearing them up
My usual spots weee not producing. Went to a point I’d only fished once before.
Found huge concentrations but they weren’t cooperating either. Scored 2 keepers there
Bunch of short fish. The bite was extremely light. Barely perceptible
Backlighting on my front depth finder went off for some reason first thing this morning. Resetting backlight brightness without backlight and sun glare sux to the extreme. Spend best part of half hour trying to sort that out.
Equipment malfunction put me in a pissed off mood I’m sure cost some fish because of concentration
OR maybe it was my LOFT
LOFT= Loss of Fishing Time?
LOFT=Slang for Contrast on your Fish Finder?
LOFT=Little Old Fishing Technique?
Lol, I thought I was the only one to have backlight trouble. My dam phone does that to. Fish finder did it once. I had to put a coat over it and me to be able to see what I was doing.at least you caught some dinner.
loft......= head .... brain?
Sounds like you still had a pretty good day despite the electronics problem. Once you get those crappies and gills in your stomach all will be fine. I too took advantage of that gorgeous day but didn’t do as well as you
LOFT = Lack of fu(#ing talent
Egghead
That was a first for me. At first I thought it was powering on then fading out.
I could see the garmin logo pop up then fade
I barely caught a glimpse of what the screen should have looked like.
On my phone googling manual and covering glare with my hat.
Really frustrating
Equipment issues really push my buttons.

This has been nearly, or all of 50 years ago; but it almost seems as though my father's first "Fish Finder" had a sort of an extension above, sticking out like the bill on your ball cap. (It was just a "circular graph" lighting up in different colors in different depths). Not even sure, if that was the actual Brand-Name of the unit, or, just what he called it.
