Welcome to the site. You should have some people from your area on shortly. Enjoy that time with your grandkids!
redman lake is good for children. bass, crappie, bluegills. fishing from bank is decent, but a boat is better. they rent boats in season.
Welcome aboard Mr Wilson!

Welcome to a fellow Pennsylvanian. The Stage is a fun place to be. You will get lots of info and some is even true! Lol. I can’t help out your way with lakes but when my kids were little I would find a farm pond and catch tons of bluegill. You can forget fishing as you will be too busy baiting hooks and removing fish. #1 item - keep the young’un busy catching fish and you will have him hooked for life. #8 hook, bobber and plenty of worms and you are set to go. Enjoy the grandchild.

Welcome, gregorywilsonsr3! I have no practical experience fishing near you, to my recollection. (Sorry)
Welcome to the stage, my grandpa took me fishing when I was 5 years old, I’ve been fishing ever since that day, and will never forget that day out fishing with him, good luck and be safe,
Try the York Haven catwalk on the Susquehanna river.
