Sonoma lake Small Mouth!

Once again fish jumping all around, started out with my go to bait, senko off the bottom, after a few cast I set my worm pull down after casting it out, grab my other pole that was set up with a small jerk bait, after a few cast I got a strike! Boy did she slam it!!! She put up a heck of a fight! Finally got my first fish on a jerk bait!!! So I unhook her and took a picture , then like always let her go, pick my worm pole up started to bump my worm, sure enough my line takes off! I let her take it, then I set the hook! The fight is on! This small mouth must of came up out of the water 4ft. I’ve caught enough of then to no they love to jump when your trying to get them in, but that was the highest I’ve ever seen one come up out of the water while hooked, Anyway after a good fight I got her in! That’s was my day at Sonoma Saturday!

After Saturday at Sonoma, I decided to give River Front Park a shot on Sunday, it’s a much smaller lake, I’ve had some pretty good luck there, and it’s closers to home, got 2 large Mouth, basically fish my same senko set up, just a thinner worm, more finesse

Had a wonderful time and met some wonderful people and made some lasting friendships I hope.
However, we didn't get an elk OR any fish. BUT, I didn't go up there just to kill something. Not sayin I wouldn't have like to have come home with an elk though. Lol.

Both nice catches Bassmatter, but you gotta love the fight of the Smalljaw. I just found out my main Smallie lake has done their winter drawdown, so that's done for the year.

Mornin 1OT. How ya doin? He shore fishes down by the marina most of the time.
Haven't been out to Sonoma in a while. The trout fishin will start to pick up pretty soon.
What was the water temp when you were out there?
