Well if ya have to work it might as well be by the river. Tommorow I will bring a fishing rod and some lures.lol. nice big ol rainbows and cutthroats rising on the water. These are wild fish. One of the best trout fisheries in the Country. Some nice Channel cats also.in the fall it turns red with Kokanee running. Gotta love Wyoming.

10:14 pm just got home. Where I was,was The Green River above the Flaming Gorge Res. One if the best places I've ever fished on a River. Biggest Brown Trout was 8 lbs. 8 lb rainbow, 7.5 lb cutbow. 19.5 lb Channel Cat. The kokes run up it to spawn it's closed for kokanee tho. Other than that it's open year round.winter is when I fish it for trout. Usually have miles if river to myself.lol.

Wow, that’s the way to finish a day’s work! That’s kind of where I assumed you were.
I just saw a local outdoors show. Said they’re planting one point two million Kokanee a year in Flaming Gorge. They were netting a bunch of them to determine what percentage were stockers versus natural born. Said they figure it’s about fifty fifty.

Less than 800 miles and interstate 80 which is about 8 miles from my house runs right across it. If I leave tonight I can meet you there tomorrow morning.

I can throw a rock to I-80 from my house. Stop and pick me up on your way!
I planned on making it over to Flaming Gorge this year, before this year happened. I’m hoping to spend some time there next year.
