I've been to Cheyenne & i know how the wind blows there. It just can't blow as hard as Smokeypig. That pilgram can lie faster than a dog can trot. That takes talent. I don't like prolonged cold weather. I was NW of Laramie once & had to hunt & kill my antelope while it was snowing. That was miserable. Good luck to you 2 this winter. Hope your shadow doesn't freeze again.

We had a storm that blew all the fence posts out of the ground and then blew all the post holes out of the ground too. We found the post holes drifted up in the lee of a barn, but while bouncing across the prairie, they got beat up and full of dirt so we couldn't use them.

I had an employee several years ago that always arrived late. One cold morning I asked him why he was late. He said “It was so cold my tires froze to the pavement.” I just turned and walked away. It must have been really cold at his house! 🤪🤪🤪. BTW - That excuse is available to anyone who needs it! 🤡

Forecast high tomorrow is 42
Going anyway. Trying for crappie.
Running out of season

Hey Ben. It turned cold here in central Illinois over night but I got out this midafternoon for an hour and a half and caught a few nice crappies and one little fat bass. 15 fish all togather , 2 pounds 2 ounces of fillets for lunch tomarrow.
Just trolling a small jig with some new colors of twistertail grubs my buddy is producing. A lot of fun

Mas . Good job. I couldn’t get em to cooperate.
If ida stayed at it I maybe would have put together a mess.
On the upside, I got home in time to watch my Buckeyes opener.

Ben... you have a deer at your house? How can watching its eyes be more fun than fishing? Is this a common thing to do where you live? How about Wolverines? Do people where you live love watching them also?

Below zero Sunday night here. Don't know much about any global warming. It ain't happening here.

Here on the western slope of Colo. it was 70 degrees on Sunday afternoon; then it rained, the wind went to 41 MPH, then the temp fell and snowed 'til next morniing and was 13 degrees with a "high" of 29 degrees today. We prayed for snow/rain, either/or we got both. They were welcomed as we have some big fires going on; as they say,"be careful what you pray for". Hey Smoky would you do us a favor by keeping the wind up there in Wyoming? Many years ago we used to hunt the Alcova area and noticed the trees seemed to lean to the east; you folks sure have some WIND up there!!!

It's 34 degrees & raining. Been raining all day, tomorrow too. I've been sitting here repainting & putting new hooks on some of the lures I salvaged this summer. I'm not trying to please anyone but myself with my color choices. I think the're beautiful & I don't care what my wife says. Tomorrow I've got to clean about a dozen reels. i've got them disassembled so I'll put them in my ultra sonic cleaner for a 20 minute cycle, let them dry then lube & assemble them. Tomorrow afternoon I go for a hearing test. It's time to replace my old hearing aids. Tight lines.
