Good luck Ben, that front should be getting here late tomorrow. 50s for highs and 30s for lows all next week.

Your cold front hit here last night. Temperature Wednesday was 84 degrees, today 48 & rain. Looks like it's here til the middle of next week. When this is over the water temperature will drop significantly & the smallmouth will start their fall gorging.
Hopefully. The crappie should start hitting also, & I'll put out some juglines for bluecat. Things are looking up. Tight lines.

I remember last winter when I was walking from my pickup to the house and my shadow froze to the ground, stranding me out there. I scrounged up enough stuff to make a fire, but it was too small and the flame froze. The next morning the neighbor's dog snatched it up and took it into his garage for a good chew. In January we had a few warm days and that flame thawed out and burned down the garage. That was a pretty good cold spell.

And that's only ONE reason why I couldn't get my wife to move out there.

I've been to Cheyenne & i know how the wind blows there. It just can't blow as hard as Smokeypig. That pilgram can lie faster than a dog can trot. That takes talent. I don't like prolonged cold weather. I was NW of Laramie once & had to hunt & kill my antelope while it was snowing. That was miserable. Good luck to you 2 this winter. Hope your shadow doesn't freeze again.
