Thanks for the invite Hogleg but can't make it due to choirs around the property. Awful nice of you.

The fishing and people at bridgeport area has always been good for me.Ive been going up since 1972 when I got out of the Army.By myself now wife died kids are too tied up with other things so I thought I would let you all know when I am going up and if others wanted to stay at motel or camp like I do it would be good. This may be something to add to the site????

Not sure what you mean by "add to the site"? Keep posting on here and let us know when you're going, there are quite a few of us on here who don't live that far from here and might like to take advantage of your offer. I would probably be driving over to meet you on Friday if I didn't have this other trip already planned. Is this something you do every year about this time of year? How often and for how long do you usually go? I've done a little fishing over that way, but it's been years. Would be nice to come over, meet up and take a refresher course in eastern Sierra trout fishing. Be sure to let us know how you do and post pictures!

We were supposed to fish the Rogue River this week however, our guide said not to come as the last 3 days only one king salmon and no steelhead. We need rain to get them to move into the river.

Does that mean they're hanging out off the coast? I'm not sure where the mouth is, but is it legal to fish there? Very confusing on the coast - all those protected areas.

It is open at the mouth at Gold Beach all the way to Grants Pass. Silvers have just passed through and now the Kings and steelies will be on the move with a rain.

I go to Bridgeport several times a year and stay for 5 days or so. I have a cab over camper thats just right for me and the dog and camp at the lake or paradise shores will not stay at or do business with the marina anymore. Its a great area to fish and don't forget the state records have come out of twins lakes nearby and Ken's sporting goods tell you how the fishing is doing in the area.
