Any fish sometimes is way better....than no fish. Looks good. Decent Rainbows are always fun. I went and drove up the roads here where i usually launch boats and fish. Can not even go up there. I drove by where one of fires was near my daughter's house. I know its all natural but landslides are too. Some of hunting buddies are bummed out. Others think it will help hunting. i have a feeling it may help for a hundred years from now. More people are building houses....hunting and every other thing here. Hunting has gone down in success rate for as long as i have done it here. Fire will add to it.

Some tree species need fire to open up the cones or activate the seeds, plus the wild flowers and grasses will benefit as well. The new growth will benefit the wildlife in a few years. Unfortunately thousands of people lost their homes and belongings throughout the West. Yes, with rain comes mudslides as the underbrush is gone which held the soil in place.

Yes it is very sad. I just lost a friend in the Zogg Fire yesterday up here in Northern California. Know several that lost everything but..... they were the lucky ones. And the reason Manzanita comes in after a fire is that the fire germinates the seeds and causes them to grow.
