Wow that's Huge for a freshwater Striper. Thanks for posting this FD.

You’re welcome. The striper boils on that lake are really something to see. When I fished there I only had a kayak so I could never reach the boils in time. I would just troll a couple of rods and every once in a while a boil would happen right around me. It was pretty exciting for a few minutes.

I’m going to try to post a video of a striper boil that I took from quite a distance from the shore. From the size of the guy fishing you can tell I was way up high on the hill. It was still pretty exciting to watch. They chase the shad right up to the bank and then it’s a free for all.

Cool, I'd love to be throwing a topwater into that. Reminds me of a Bluefish blitz, tearing up Bunker, just less violent. I've actually seen Terns (small gull type birds) that were feeding on the scraps, get bitten by Bluefish as they dived into the water. They are eating machines!

Wanted to combine corn today, but an electrical problem ruined that idea. Talked my wife and daughter into a trip to the pond. Put a worm and bobber on wife's pole, jig with 2 1/2 inch Gulp minnow for daughter. First cast daughter caught a striper, only the second one caught since stocking 25 of them 3 years ago. From the size, it appears they are reproducing. Good sign. I had a 1/16th oz tinsel tail, and we caught maybe 15 large mouth dinks. Wife was getting mad not catching anything, so I took off the bobber and had her drop it on the bottom beside the dock. Game on, we caught about 20 hybrid bluegill that way, kept 6 largest 10 inch 1.25 monster. Biggest 'gill I've seen in person. It was getting dark, so we headed up the bank. I stepped on a stick I didn't see, it rolled and I went down. Sprained a couple of fingers and really stretched the knee I had replaced 5 weeks ago. Still don't know if it hurt or helped it, but doesn't appear to have injured anything so far. 🤞 It was great to see the spray I used did a wonderful job on the duckweed!

Hey I Farmer, glad to see the success with the fish and the Dyquat spray. Like I said we have been using that for spot spraying around our docks for several years. Praying that your knee is alright after your incident. We just returned from Arkansas this afternoon and saw a lot of combines working and several fields that have been chisel plowed already. We caught a lot of Rainbows, Brown trout and my daughter caught 2 Brookies that had beautiful colors. I am still trying to figure out how to get the pics from her text into a format that allows me to post them on F.S.

Again, glad to hear that the spray worked and those gills were beautiful.

Thanks for the prayers. Kinda stiff and sore, but doesn't seem to be any damage. What works for me is to save the text pictures to my gallery, and I can post on FS from there. Sounds like you had a great trip!

My android does not bring up that option. I will get it figured out though. Thanks Fred

Glad you aren't hurting to bad, I Farmer If you recall when we conversed earlier about the spray, you were concerned about going down. The older we get the more careful we have to be.

I hit the choose file button on the F S and it directs me to a file choice here on the phone. I hit files and the pics show up. So I tap the pic I want to send and then add attachment here on the F S.

Yes, there are steep banks all the way around my pond. To spray it I mixed up 30 gallon of solution in a 12 volt spot sprayer, put it in the 14 ft boat my SIL keeps there and had him drive around with the trolling motor while I applied it. Worked great!
