Is there an app that would let me know if fishing conditions are good before i load up the truck and trek tonthe beach? Would save me a lot of wasted time.....

I use Tides for Fishing when I'm fishing on the Gulf Coast. I Watch the tides, moon, pressure and the best and worst time to fish. Does it work, I have no idea. But, I usually catch something.

Welcome Danger25, have fun with them girls. I raised 4 and a son. I have lots of good fishing and hunting memories. You’ll learn something from this site every week, I do and I’m pushing 64.

I Love to fish for Salmon on the Columbia River, and at the Ocean out of Ilwaco. I also enjoy crabbing there. I also fish lake Merwin for Kokanee often as I live close.

Welcome Bigger Al. I also fish Merwin quite a bit. I was down there last week at my sisters and the lake was closed because of the fire. Do you know if it has reopened? I hope so because I’m coming down there next week. How’s the bite? I know they’re spawning right now. Tight lines and maybe and maybe our paths may cross someday.

Hello Danger25. We visit CM almost every summer. We like to fish down toward the Lighthouse. Not sure of the road name but last left before the restaurant. Follow it back toward the LH. Make a right. Look for steps to access the beach. We're there last year and the Blues were there. No size but caught on almost every cast. Look for the birds. If birds are there the fish will be there.

We also fished that beach quite often without much action. Also have fished under the bridge over the access channel but not much luck there. Good and dry for rainy days though. We always had fun there. If you look back at my post “Sharking” I have a post about fishing for shark at CM. Shoot me a pm if you want the Captains contact info.
