I Love to fish for Salmon on the Columbia River, and at the Ocean out of Ilwaco. I also enjoy crabbing there. I also fish lake Merwin for Kokanee often as I live close.

I sometimes drive down to Tillamook and fish out of Garibaldi and crab there. Its awesome. It is 2.5 hours one way and a $32 one day licence however. UGH I can't afford to do that very often at the expense however.

Welcome to the Forum, Bigger Al & Danger, Danger you might try the local tide chart, if you fishing the Coast. Sometimes they will give you a hint, for whatever it is worth.

I've heard Fishbrain was good, but I've never used it. Check the local tackle shops where you are going to fish. That's the best place for local info.
