Hi. I am an obsessed striped bass fisherman. I love fishing for freshwater pike and walleye in Quebec.
Been going there since 1985. But my fall passion is stripers. I'm based in Montauk but I will drive anywhere from Cape Cod to the Outer Banks in South Carolina if the bite is on. I never hesitate to give whoever asks good info on where the fish are- no secrets. Even if it's a honey hole that I have been developing for a long time.I think there's enuf for everybody, and good vibes always come back to you. So if I get any info, I will post and I hope it's likewise. Happy fishing and EAT BLUEFISH TOO.

Yesterday was fantastic and we'll be out there again tomorrow.

Welcome to the stage dpframing, I used to know some Striper fanatics on our coast. They too would drive long distances when they heard the bite was on. The only problem was it's hard to hold a steady job.LOL

Welcome to the fishing stage Domenic. I think you will really enjoy it. Lot of knowledgeable and really good people here. I always loved fishing out of Montauk. Fished the Star Island shark tournament every year in the late '80's and '90's. Great tournament, well run and lots fun and good fishing. One year we were docked next to Billy Joel's boat Alexa. Came in 3rd place that year with a 208 # mako.
Go get the stripers. The big ones should be starting the fall run

I’m your neighbor, just a few miles west of ya. I’ve been fishing out here for 64 years now, (including the summer in my mothers tummy). I’d love to live in Montauk if I had a job out there. I’m thinking of coming your way in a few weeks, staying at the Albatross with my wife and dog, providing the bass bite is on.

Welcome, dpframing! I had a Capt. from Montauk, down at Port Canaveral; many years ago. He owned a big old steel-hulled, southern rigged dragger. Name of the boat, was "Stamford Morse"... ¿Have you ever seen or heard of it? His name was Bill (I think), but can't recall his last name. It was about a 85-90ish foot long vessel. High wheelhouse.
