An had you know who this dude was, what would you have done, challenged him to a few rounds? Just Sayin...RJS
Don't be foolish RJ, I would have asked him to take a group photo with us. Also would have invited him to join us on a ride in the next few weeks, if he was interested. He was very enthusiastic when telling us about the Heritage Softail that he recently bought. And very inquisitive about our bikes as well. The saddest part is because of the slurred speech we figured he was half cocked at 10am. Many of us have had alcohol issues,or family that has now or in the past. Had we known his background (and probable cause of his speech issues) we would have taken him more seriously and NOT because of any celebrity he may have. He didn't mention At All,that he was a former boxer, as we would have viewed his impediment differently right from the start. I feel bad that we jumped to the conclusion that he'd been drinking, but like they say, hindsight is 20/20.

Let me preface this by saying, there are many Tree companies still doing cleanup work from last months storms, both local and from out of state.
Last week, while waiting for friends to show up for a motorcycle ride,we were sitting in DD parking lot having a coffee. 2 guys come out and head for their car.1 avg.build,1BIG dude. The big one walks over and starts complementing us on our bikes. Heavy Irish accent, and sounds drunk (@10am). He goes on and on about coming from Ireland, bought a Harley, just became a citizen, working for a tree company from Boston.yadayadayada. After he headed towards the car,he turns and comes back. "By the way,my name is Kevin McBride, and I'm the last guy to beat Mike Tyson ". Yeah, ok buddy, have a good day.
After he left,we're all looking at each other, what do you think? What was his name? Don't remember.CRS. So we google "Last man to beat Tyson " HOLY CRAP, it was him!!!!!!
I can't transfer a link on this old tablet, but Google Last man to beat Tyson. It's true, It's a small world.

Campfire memories but then you never know who you may ride up to tomorrow. Maybe meet again - hope
you do! Just thinking about it make me quiver. And another slap the side of my head to not jump to conclusions so quickly. Lesson learned ‘again’ for me woke me up. AGAIN. Thanks for sharing that Fred.

Is this him?
Yes it is CDB, and now he's working for a tree surgeon, currently cleaning up storm damage here in CT. He's living in the Boston area, and working for a service up in Massachusetts.
He sure looks like a big dumb irishman. I've known a few. I'm sort of a smaller version myself.
That's a truly great small world story. Thanks for sharing it Fred.
I was with my girl friend in San Fran, walking down the sidewalk when a big black limo stopped next to us. Charles Bronson and his wife and daughter got out of the car. We said hello and they walked about 2 blocks with us before they jumped on a trolley car. My girlfriend always told everyone what a nice guy he was. She said most men would have knocked the snot out of me for the way I was drooling and eyeing his women. I can't deny it, they were stunning and I was 19!
I like Bronson's movies. One I really like is "Hard Times" where during the depression he is a bare knuckle fighter going from town to town to earn a buck. really good action and I recommend watching it.

Holyfield lost part of an ear, this guy nearly gave up a nipple. Shame on you Mike.
SERIOUSLY ! What part of the 'Marquis of Queensbury' rules
allows biting in the ring ? That sounds more like something my sisters might have done WAY
back in the day ! Last I heard,
only little girls and/or 'sissies'
would bite someone in a fight ! And in a championship match,
no less ? Where was your masculine pride or your manhood
on those days ? Did you leave them at home ? Forget to bring them along ? WTF, Mike ?
