So my fishing rod’s top 20 cm ( like 7 inches ) broke off, is there a way to repair it? Im not planning to fish big fishes, just perch.

You can install a new top guide where it broke and it will work.

The first suggestion is the only thing I believe will work. I've had the same thing happen to me. I had just purchased a custom made rod and my wife dropped an ice box on it, breaking off about 6 inches of the tip. I put a end guide on the rod and it worked fine, not as it had been but it wasn't a total loss. Just Syin...RJS

I used to build my own rods, the only thing you can do is put a new tip guide on it but 7 inches is an awful lot to loose on a fishing rod, you will loose alot of sensitivity and its almost not worth fixin, better off goin out and getting yourself a new rod

7 inches is a bunch for sure, you could make a trolling rod out of it, if it is heavy enough. Another problem that you are going to run into is to purchase the the right sized tip top. You will have to have a way in which to measure the tip that is remaining. The do sell guides, check out Mudhole.com.

You could also take it to a rod crafter, if there any close to you, and he could measure it and tell you what size to order. Or, he could fix for you. If it is a customer that I made a rod for, I don't charge him anything. If I don't know him, or have never built a rod for him, I charge $10.00.

I have seen rod tip guide repair kits at Walmart and Sportsman warehouse. Usually have 2-3 tip sizes in kit. So hopefully one would fit.

Could be!
Glue on new guide tip and keep it as a spare I f you have to. Alway take more than one rod with you when you head out. And check your reel for any loose screws, etc.
i fixed one of my rods , broke about 7 inches from the top...my rod was hollow in side then i epoxy a plastic sleeve inside , a slip fit....it was about 3 1/2 in. long worked great for me no problams this was about 4 years ago
Losing 7 inches is not good.
Gluing a new tip on will give you a functional rod but performance , sensitivity and casting distance will suffer greatly . You will have a real stiff rod.
More toward the middle , fuerrel kits can be had That sometimes save the day .
I’ve actually had a rod lengthened by inserting a dowell in the handle and reinstalling a new handle.
I certainly agree with Lee626. Unless you're using a bobber, your newly shortened stiff
rod will cost you feeling those light perch nibbles, in particular. It will also
cost you missed fish while retrieving lures, not to mention reducing the length of your casts.
