Been following all the great discussions and hints for the last year or so, and impressed with this site, here is my question. My eyes have really gone bad in the last few years (macular degeneration) I am 73, having trouble tying knots. Have looked for magnifying glasses to help, but hundreds of choices, anyone have a recommended easy to use solution ??

There are several knot tying devices that might be a real help. I do not own one nor have any experience using them, but worth looking into. Just Sayin...RJS

In a fly shop, years ago, I bought a magnifying glass that looked like a pair of glasses. It clipped onto the bill of a ball cap and works like a charm for me. Maybe...

I lost parts of both of my eyes mostly blind in my right eye. Being a hard headed fighter like I am I wouldn't just quit trying. I commend you for looking for a better way. You sir are a fighter. Never give up. I found some cheater/readers thru a company called Clic Magnetic Glasses. They go where I go... I make custom fishing rods and trolling flies. They sure help me on and off the water. I couldn't respond to you without them.

I picked up a couple packs of No Knot devices at a Sports Show. They work very well with mono, but haven’t tried them on braid nor fluoro

Pick up the clip on glasses like Smokeypig suggests and look up TyPro. It’s a hand held bait tying device like RJS is suggesting. They may have one you could use.

A jeweler or watch repairman might have some advice, maybe even a spare laying around.
