Methinks that the Marines kicked you out of the Marines on the grounds that they could no longer afford to feed you and the other troops as well. I don't know how the Sgt. Major can afford to feed you either plus keep a roof over your heads.

I'd like to think I could still consume it...but, I don't feel it necessary to find out.

My drill instructor in boot camp certainly noticed my appetite. He didn't mind that, but was pissed that I was the only (according to him) recruit he had ever had that didn't gain or lose a pound during USMC Boot Camp. I went in at 149 lbs. and came out the exact same 149 lbs.

Sorry, CD, for being part of stealing a thread dedicated to you.

I would of thought that Rory McIlroy would have one that Tour Championship for his new little girl that they just had. His wife gave birth the day that he arrived at the Tour Championship I believe and he hasn't seen either of them yet.

I would have thought he might out that tournament for that reason alone.

I could tell that there were times that he wasn't concentrating like he used to.
Say when do you think that the show that you showed me was originally filmed? The reason that I am asking is that it seems that the $5,000 prize is really low in comparison to other game shows is all.

It is currently running shows just a few weeks after being recorded. I've often wondered how they could get a good audience with such a small maximum prize. But, it does not run on major network channels. C'est la vie.

You do realize you're addresing Bahmer's post? But, as for your comment: I can hardly forget it, BB. It's part of Family folklore. Even my brothers backed away from the task.

Besides, who in the world would drive to Amarillo just to eat a steak? If you had the same size steak at Ruth Chris, it probably cost as much as a new Cadillac. Just Sayin....RJS

Really, RJ

I certainly did not drive to Amarillo simply to eat a steak. I was in Amarillo primarily to visit with Family members who live(d) there. I had also driven from Alameda, Ca. to visit Family and friends in Arizona and New Mexico. It was, after all, a vacation trip with my young son to see his grandpa, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Hoss, I wasn't disparaging you having done the task. But you had to have a reason to go through Amarillo. People don't just drop in there. You had a reason! I've been up there 2 times in the last 18 months, but always for other business. But I didn't stop at the famous Steak place. Just Syin..RJS
