I'm guessing maybe Buddy Holly and Waylan Jennings...but, not sure. I almost thought one of 'em was the younger of the Everly Brothers. I don't know who the finger belongs to, but he/she thinks the others are #1.

Lubbock and Littlefield (where ever the hell that is) the Texan recognizes his fellow Texans. Did you know that Buddy was largely responsible for Waylon's career? And without looking it up - does anybody know buddy's real name. Don't say Holly. Anyway, it was Holley.

I have Family in Lubbock and Littlefield is just northwest of there...both in the Texas Panhandle. However, I'm a bit puzzled by your other 'guess who' thread. I did make a guess, though...just a guess.

Mac Davis is/was also from Lubbock.

Charles Hardin Holly.
I lived in Idalou, Texas 7 miles from Lubbock.
I also dated Mac Davis's little sister a few times when I was in HS. They were from Lubbock also. For the life of me I can't remember her name now.

When I was between 2 and 4, I lived with my parents on a farm between Leveland and Whiteface. You learn the real meaning of the dust bowl when the sky turns as black and nighttime and as a kid I could play in the dirt blown into the house with my truck and toys. My mother was constantly fighting to keep the dirt out but it was a losing battle. Why Texans are a lot of grit and gristle....Just Sayin...RJS

Hey BF, funny story bout us back then.
She and I were talkin on the phone one night and I was layin in bed (at my house)
Well I fell asleep while we were talkin and I woke up about an hour later and I still had the phone next to my ear. I picked it up and said Hello?
She said," Oh, you're awake." and I said I'm so sorry, I fell asleep. And she said," I know. At first I thought you were just ignoring me and then I could hear how even your breathing was so I knew you fell asleep."
I ask her how long I'd been asleep and she said about an hour.
I ask her how come she didn't just hang up and she said " I wanted to tell you good night and I didn't want you to think I hung up on you."
I couldn't believe that she actually stayed on the phone for an hour listening to me sleep. AND then wasn't even pissed off when I woke up.
Maybe you're right. Maybe I should have latched onto her .

However, Sue and I have been married for over 45 years so I guess I still found a keeper.

My daughter was allowed to date as soon as she turned thirty-five.

Oh well, another rule broken.
