What's even worse are the "crossovers". Tiny little bed, so they're not much of a truck and at the same time, not much of a car. For indecisive people, I guess?

I hear ya. You can’t work on the new trucks yourself and there too expensive to take into the dealership.
In the old days, a fella like Gomer in Mayberry could fix your car.
To work on todays cars and trucks, you just about need a multidisciplinary masters degree.
