I mainly fish in the dark to get away from the hot sun and ski boats. Plus I'm a night owl and have always enjoyed the stars out on the lake.

Plum, it was a very dark night, no moon and I was in a very dark cove. I guess all the years of star watching and night fishing has improved my night vision, plus cataract surgery a couple years ago brightened the dark a little. There were bats all around me they kept hitting my line, guess they thought it's a bug. Sure makes you want to set the hook.

The good thing is the solitude, no one around to spoil my fun or thoughts.

Those bats might have been sea bats. Gotta watch out for them!

Plum, they will defiantly work for her they cover around 15" radius and they work great. If there's someone else in the boat with me I set it in the center of the boat and it'll cover both of us. They really do a good job without any sprays, I also use it at night on the deck

Not sure about the sea bats, one of the funniest things i've ever seen was running down the lake with a guy one night with a big tough guy. One of those bats hit him in the chest and stuck, the guy started screaming like a little girl. I stopped the boat and grabbed it and threw it overboard, thought he was gonna have a heart attack. Not the first one I've had in the boat, they're pretty much harmless.
