I will bite, where is Bullards Bar?
I know its not around here even though a lot of BS is.
It's in California about 50 miles from my house. Excellent Kokanee lake. You going for those?
Going to try for a little bit of everything.
Welcome to the forum. Your "handle" would get some recognition around these parts. Although cancelled this year because of Covid19, the city of Grants Pass, on the Rogue River, has a large event on Memorial Day weekend, jet boat races, a fair with rides and food and craft booths, music....3 days of you name it activities.
They do leave out the "c".... but it's called....BOATNIK ! Big doin's around here, we even wager on our favorite boats & pilots..... clandestinely, of course !
https://fishingreports.sportsmans.com/fishing-report/bullards-bar/16253/This is pretty cool. It's from the Sportsman's Warehouse in Rocklin. Someone tipped me to this the other day, I can't remember who it was, someone from around here. Thank you to whoever it was. I used to tell the wife I had to go to the store itself to get these reports - they have a big board in there as you walk in. She doesn't know about this.
It sounds like an awsome event.

A very unique lake. There are no baitfish native to the lake. The Kokanee fishing is pretty good but that's all I can tell you about that. Being the home of the world record spotted bass, many anglers fish this lake hoping to catch a big un. The planted Kokanee are what these big bass like to eat. The banks are very steep and the lake very deep. This time of year you can find schools in 40 to 60 feet of water. There is also lot's of fun action on smaller bass using all the typical bass lures and throwing them at the bank. Fish early because when the sun hits the water the bank fish bite stops. I fish this Lake about 5 times a year. If you like to fish plastic worms here is a tip... Oxblood is my favorite color on Bullards.
