Was throwing everything, same smell, another boat came by and asked how was I doing and I said I am not fishing, just practicing my casting.
Good one. Don't feel too bad. My rod has not twitched once this year. Last fish I caught was right before last Christmas. Just keep practicing that cast.

IF and WHEN this virus gets better to the point we can get together more safely, I'm gonna go over to Spirits house with my boat so we can go out someplace and catch fish. I promise.
Take some feeder goldfish and really good fresh fillets from store and serve them after fishing just in case saw.
Spirit is just letting the tension mount amongst us fishers. Tell'em Spirit. When you least expect it, expect it! He will be coming in with a boatload soon!
I do appreciate the positive energy. And I always think positive when ever I think about fishing, especially the night before and out on the water. I swear it makes all the difference in the world. Just not this F****D up year. I can't wait for 2020 to be in my rear view mirror.

Well buddy, you don't have that much longer to put up with it. It'll be gone before you know it.
I too hope next year is a better year for all.
Hey Spirit, sorry to hear that. I used to live in Sacramento, grass valley, MV/YC and right on Collins lake. I did have a hell of a time finding a decent spot to fish while in Sac but found a good spot off hwy 70 heading north into marysville that I used to pull off the road head under the bridge n throw out. Always caught lil guys (bass, bluegill etc), but occasionally a nice big fish would come thru n take a bite! Love that spot but have no idea what that area looks like now or if there's any access. Also used to head up 99 to red bluff area n east over to mt Shasta area n fish the creeks. Fish and game stck em and they're always fun to fish. Wish you best of luck. I'm up in Eureka now n spend my time fishing saltwater these days. Its pretty awesome too n I'm always catching off the jetty. Well, I have been skunked out there too but for the most part lots of action.

Welcome aboard there Kris.
Man, I am with you on that here in California, I have been out about7 or 8 times and skunked about half. My big take is 2 Rainbows 1 Bass and 4 or 5 little Bluegills, for my license that cost me about $70 bucks! I am going back to my home state of Minnesota next week, and will catch more fish in one outing there than iwill catch all season here!
