I almost said nothing beats a nice rack, but others may have misinterpreted that remark. Goes along with my HS baseball days when I used to say that nothing beats a nice piece of ash as I would be referring to the wooden bats, of course! Some understood my sense of humor...others...notsomuch.

I normally wait a week or two before I fish a newly stocked lake and I have the best luck using FL Orange Powerbait.

pink garlic cheese.or velvita balls are good too. if things get tough try a chunk of oscur meyer hot dog. these are proven nj stock lake tricks. sometimes i mix chewed up bubble gum with baits.

I also use either garlic or trout sense on my Powerbait.
