So if I’ve caught a 16in 2.8 pound bass and a 14.5in 3.2 pound bass from a lake which would be considered my PB for that lake?

I go by weight for almost all fish

Really depends on you, most people like weight, but you do you. Like most kayak fishermen I know only go by measurement and don't care about weight, everyone else goes by weight.

Makes sense, I’m scared to bring most electronics into a kayak

I go by weight, some people go by length. Pick one and go with it. IMO you can measure and you’ll always wonder how much it weighed. I don’t ever weigh one then wonder later how long it was.

That’s true, I’ve also found myself w just a tape measure more than I’ve found myself with just a scale

He was weighed alongside something in his stomach. It had a defined edge in his belly so I’m thinking turtle

Ah yeah that'd do it. My pb had atleast 1 nice bluegill in it's stomach as well.

SaltyR, I've heard it said >1×; that,: "The only dumb question, is the one that didn't get asked." Me, I go by length, only worry about the weight, if there's gonna be money "changing hands".
