I have been able to get a bass on every type of lure I have tried. It seems the bass like something new. First dozen casts with anything and I’m getting hit, then quiet. I think it is a conspiracy to get me into the store. I have another $50 in a bag under the seat now. My spinner bait secret. Start of slow. Bumping off the bottom. Then keep bouncing of the bottom with hard pulls up and then rest. Lastly start cranking it in like there was a lightning strike across the lake. No bites, try a different spinner. Then repeat. I haven’t been able to associate color or blade type to success. They seem to prefer yellow and black now. Strike King spinners seem to be preferred also. Here are a couple of sponsors of the show. Expecting to see the fish wearing Bass Pro patches soon.
Watch some of K V D's videos on You Tube. A person can learn a lot. Fishing with a spinner bait is right next to top water fishing in my opinion.

I agree. A very fast retrieve with rod tip up can skip a spinner and cause wake up a snoozing LMB.

Mine has always been the spinnerbait. No matter how hard I try I’ve never caught a single fish with one.

Mine is catching Crappie on a jig. I have a hard time seeing the little nudges or nibbles. I’m used to fishing for Crappie with a Crappie rig and it swimming off enough to make the cork go under, or sometimes the cork stands on end and lays on it’s side when they’re swimming upward. I’ve caught many many black bass on spinnerbaits.

I replace trebbles with single hooks since a big snook put a trebble thru one side, thru the bone and out the other side of my buddies thumb.
Rapala is making some Xraps w single hooks (top2) and bottom is one of my fav mirrolures I replaced with single. They're safer and easier to remove from a fish's mouth. I see no lower hook up rate with them.
As far as kryptonite...I'd have to say I cant catch a cold with feather. I've tried and tried.
I used to catch Largemouths on a regular basis with various colored spinnerbaits up until about to years ago. since then i can't even snag one. And if there are any pike in your lakes you will get those ocassionally.
