Ht. I'm in the north west part of Fla. Just south of Ala. 25 mins. north of Ft. Walton Beach in Crestview Fla. All i'm into is bass so if your a salt water guy then I'm not any help to you at all. But good luck to you.

Did you fish tarpon reef. Any good spa around tarpon and new port Richey. I new in fishing this area and just finishing rebuild my old chaparral224.any advice.

It’s a lot different fishing Florida gulf than Rhode Island it’s much more site specific, hard bottom reefs , ledges, any structure just like RI except you have got to be right on the number here I fish mostly offshore for grouper or hog fish if you feel comfortable about your boat running 30 or so miles some other numbers are in the 20 mile range I have a friend he fish’s with me that would probably go with you in your boat he fish’s more than I care to and has showed me a lot about fishing florida

Welcome, January. I spent ~ a month, tied up @ Tarpon Springs, nearly 30 years ago. I'm needing to "search" for any useful information, for you. I Do recall the mullet, really making their presence known, right within site of the sponge docks, & it was "cold-time"; but, I'm unsure of the month, but I'm sure it was cold out. (Hadda be January or February.)
