People talk about being able to see the fish and the clarity their polarized sunglasses give them allowing them to see underwater. My glasses don't really let me see much at all under the water. I am curious what brands and colors people are using that are giving them such clarity. Our lake is relatively clear at times, but I still can't make out much unless something is very close to the surface. Any sunglass suggestions?

RayBan, wire frame, darkest ones they got. I hadda "special order" mine, due to the fact that my eyesight is no longer 20-20; so, since they needed to have them apart to start with; I asked for the "Aviator" lenses be combined with the "Shooter" earpieces (might be the "Outdoorsman" earpieces, it's been a while, since I gottem.) The earpieces wrap around the ears and are less likely to fall overboard; although I DID manage to accomplish that, ~30 years ago, wrap-around earpieces and all. {Just add alcohol.} I can see things underwater with these on, that others cannot. I can also see a layer of "smog" out over the lake, some days, while looking through the glasses, but not when I take the RayBans off.

I wear Costas dark green with the mirror lens they are excellent and if you spend long hours on the water a must. We can see predator fish under bait fish with them as long as they are not too far down. A lot more
money than my wife was happy with me spending on sunglasses but I had a good argument.

I use the Costa 580p polarized and they are great. I have reduced glare while they really brightening everything up. Love em!

I don't know, but this could be the wrong thread. You may want to start one and you'll get responses.

Basically it's a heavy leadhead jig with a big hook used for stripers and other big fish. Frequently trolled.

For a start try Ozark Trail or Yum brand from Walmart for under $5. That will show you the difference with and without polorized sunglasses.
