I have a settling pond above the main pond, not much ag land drainage mostly unimproved pasture and timber ground.

Always went to the Colony Inn, until the owner died a few years ago. Hasn't been the same since. Usually try to make it there at least once a year or so, only about 30 miles away.

This is info that the local soil and water conservation hands out at thier semi-annual pond management clinic and it would be wise for you to contact your local people there but these are the chemicals and amounts recommended by them if I can get the pic to load.

It still looks like a nitrogen runoff issue to me . Like I said you may talk to them about installing a bio-reactor system. They are using and studying a couple of farms here in the Peoria area. If you would like to talk to people that are actually working with this type of thing I can PM you some names and phone #'s. Just let me know. mas

Nice job of stepping up MAS, I hope it works out for IF.
Don’t hesitate to try Jethro’s BBQ in Altoona or Des Moines if you’re in the area. Nice variety. One of my Sons graduated from Drake and that was a regular stop during a visit.

I've been to the downtown Jethro's, there are 3 of them in the area. Good food, I think each has a different menu. My nephew is assistant director of services for the athletic department at Drake.

I'll check those out. I'm a full service patron of our local FS, and I was on the SWCD board for a number of years, so I know them well. Thanks for the research!

Nothing like a great BBQ joint. If we had great ones around here I wouldn’t have to spend so much time a ‘Qin’. Sure do miss my work trips to the south.
