,Larry(boat owner) had only fished for bream and crappie and catfish
then I taught him to bass fish
he has only been crappie fishin once since
and that was because there were four boats in our crowd and they all wanted to crappie fish
Your good intentions have destroyed a once great crappie fisherman.
You seem to have brought this upon yourself and I really don't have any solutions for you.
Maybe you could tell him you want to go bass fishin on a great crappie lake.
Maybe you could send him to Lake Rayburn to catch crappies for Mama.
Last but not least you can sit down and start sippin Jack until your problems go away.

The Jack may help get rid of the virus were you to have it that is.

He might have something there. Alcohol kills germs and virus is germs. I have a friend who used that reasoning on pneumonia and drank a quart of rum. He somehow survived that, but just barely. But this is a different kind of stuff and alcohol will kill germs...

This part of we isn't going to get drunk. I will however toast the project with a shot of Bush Mills and extend the most sincere best wishes.
I just don't like being drunk and I really hate hangovers. Been there and done that and still have the t shirt.

plenty of places
Conroe is good crappie lake only an hour away
plenty bass too
but can't get him to go there
he wants to go to Rayburn
but three hours up and three hours back is too much in one day
course it's his boat
I agree with you; three hours
each way is way too much
driving for one day ! I may do it
occasionally since most of the better, cooler fishing lakes are
at least 2 to 3 hrs. away, but a three-hour drive is usually an overnight or two-night trip !
Was a time in my youth (mid-thities) when I drove straight
through the day and night
(1,400 mi./26 hrs.) from N.H.
to my folks'house in central Florida, but those days are now
far behind me ! I still love to drive, but nowadays the more frequent bathroom breaks make it more
of a chore and the stamina needed for long-haul driving isn't what it used to be ! Mick Jagger was right ; "What a drag it is getting old" !
