They always let you out one day early so if you do something Stupid, they can still give you a court marshal!
Awesome, and thank you. Glad you made it back home.
I had a tough tour I belonged to body bag Bravo. 13 MAR 85 Blackhawk crash was my squad. I was sitting on that bird when my platoon met our new platoon sergeant. He was lazy and went to the first bird in his path and bumped me to another. 15 minutes I watched watched the Blackhawk do an “endo”. While the bird was traveling it went nose down and rolled on its top, game over. Lost a total if 22 in my Company all of which were training exercises.
I am sure you faced far worse than anything I could imagine and I am grateful for your duty to our brotherhood. The saying, “see you in Valhalla” came to early for many of our brothers and sisters. I am as I said glad you made it back.
I wonder if my record of most jumps in the least amount of time still stands. 386 with the 82nd in 24 months. I do not like getting on a ladder. Go figure. Every day I tell myself to get my head out of my fourth point of contact. Strike Hold. Black hearted Devils in baggy pants.
USMC 84-90. Was one of the original group that became the Special Reaction Team, basically a SWAT team for MPs.

Would you like to mention what branch of the military and when you served?
Many of us have kept in touch with other service members in one form or another. Therefore, I am going to keep a tally of what branch and service time and post it at a later time. You just may see that someone served at the same time and branch as you.
If you were unable to serve in the respect of wearing a uniform, but yet served with support please let us know.
