Cannot find an insulated 6 gallon bucket.

I don't know where else to ask. My buddy has a 6 gallon bucket that has around an inch of insulation molded within the plastic of the bucket. The inside capacity is still 6 gallons. All 5 gallon bucket lids fit on it.

But for the life of me, I cannot figure out where to buy one. Every search I do brings back no results. I've googled the crap out of this bucket every way I know how. I accept if I'm an idiot, but can someone help me find this?

He bought it for ice fishing. I'm trying to turn it into an insulated and aerated bait bucket for my boat throughout the hot summer. Without insulation it will cook my bait in a hurry.

I don't want to go with the small and expensive options from the bait bucket aisle. I can get a 5 gallon lid-type aerator and keep them alive.

Thanks for your help!

There is a Frabill one that I know of. Not 100% sure if it fits a standard 5 gallon bucket lid, but it looks like it could.

If it's the Sit 'n Fish, the only insulated part of it is a Styrofoam insert that's only 10 ounces and a generic 6 gallon thin-walled bucket. I held it in the store and it's disappointing.

I think that’s the one. That’s pretty disappointing, I just saw it in the store and remembered it. Hope you find it man.

Thanks man. I appreciate the effort! It's been a nightmare. No one in any of the stores has a clue what I'm talking about.

You could probably get one of those gatorade coolers they use at football games and plug the spout.

I just use a regular 6 gal. paint bucket with a cheap styrofoam minnow bucket stuck inside it. On mine, I can still put the lid on the minnow bucket AND the lid on the plastic bucket; just clip off enough of the lip of the plastic bucket to hang a “clip-on” aerator to it. You can poke a small hole, or notch the minnow bucket lid for the aerator tube.

Forgot to say, the minnow bucket fits very snugly in the plastic bucket , so I don’t try to pull mine out.

Igloo makes nice big round coolers (like the GatorAde ones, already mentioned); perhaps I'd take a closer look at those, if it were me. I had one in my camper top for the truck, y I'm relatively sure that it held a good 5 gallons, maybe more. If you've got a drill and a jigsaw/scrollsaw, I bet you can make one work. (Maybe not the CHEAPEST option.) {Maybe drill a hole and use a coping saw.}

Bass pro sells a styrofoam minnow buck that's made to fit inside a 5 gallon bucket. I have 1 & Randyhartford is correct about fixing it up. Good luck & tight lines.

Before I woried about keeping the fish cool in a aerated bucket, I would just get a cheap indoor fountain pump and pump cool already aerated water from wherever you are fishing into a bucket with a overflow.

Buy whatever bucket you want with a lid. Then go to Michael's 0r any other hobby/craft shop and look for the type of foam you want ( the white rubbery 3/8" thick) like Frabill uses cut the round bottom fitst and glue it in with rubber cement. After it cures then cut the remaining foam to wrap around inside the bucket and then glue it in firmly. Then open the seams enough so you can get rubber cement in between bottom and top, and in the seam running top to bottom. Now you can make your lid however you want or Walmart sells just the lid with air pump. I have kept shrimp alive for three days in FL heat with this, but I bought the premade one.
