Ya - they see it all there! And some they would rather not see
There's no better friend than a dog.
I used to work with a crusty old guy we all called 'Cotton'. Never knew his real name. He was an avid fisherman and never went without his dog, a dachshund. One time, I was fishing near Cotton in his boat. It was about 100 degrees, and every so often the dog would start to wilt, it was too hot for him. Cotton would grab the dog by the scruff of the neck, hoist him over the side and dunk-dunk-dunk. The dog loved it, and returned the favor when Cotton hoisted him back in - a moment later, they were BOTH soaking wet and refreshed.

My wife just headed up state to be with the daughter and new born son, so it’s just me and His Highness. That’s why he was down on Broadway in NYC this morning.
He never lets me out of his sight for more than 60 seconds.

10 come November. Never took to the gun, and met a horseshoe crab when he was about 3. He’s fearful of sea monsters but not itty bitty sunfish.
A Very silly guy, by any standard. Still, I’m his human, so I’ll try to keep him entertained. 🤪.
