First pic is the Atlantic Ocean by Smith Point county park, Long Island, New York. Second pic is at the Paconic River camp ground, Riverhead, Long Island.
First spot is surf casting territory for striped bass and such, second spot is for large mouth bass and such. Both are fantastic places to camp and to fish.

25 years ago I used to keep my canoe up by the garden, filled with well water, next to the mulch pile. I would put what ever bait fish I didn’t use during the day in the canoe along with a few small sunfish. It was my dogs personal swimming pool/fish pond. I would get worms from the mulch pile to feed the fish, siphon off the fish poop into the garden, and spray water back into the canoe for O2 for the fish. Did this year after year during the summers to keep the dogs happy and cool. They would spend hours trying to catch the fish. Come fall all the fish got released back in the stream or lake nearby. Those were some HAPPY dogs!

I’ve been blessed to have them since ‘63. I’m 63 now and loving this goof ball guy. He’s with me 24/7. In fact he went into NYC with me this morning, right to Broadway. The block was blocked off by the NYPD so we stood in the middle of the street as I yelled, “Look Pooka, we made it to the Big Times “. Yeah people looked at me a little funny, but hey, it’s the Big City !!!!!
