I should probably start a new post, but since we're talking about em - I am seriously looking for a tandem yak with a transom that will take an electric motor. Priorities are the first two, tandem and transom. After that weight and stability. Anybody?

I was going to copy and paste what i saw. Way to many so all i did was google tandem and transom kayak. Alot of choices out there Spirit.

Any you would recommend? Or on the other hand, avoid? You know, when I first joined the stage last August I had just purchased my first kayak and was playing around with modifying it so I could put a motor on it because I was just then experiencing the really nasty back pain that I've been dealing with. I wish now I had waited, but you know how that goes, wish in one hand.............. So now I'm a little wiser and have a pretty good idea of what I'd really like to have.

If i knew Tandems i would be able to answer that. Only suggestion is see where this post goes or make a new one in the main section and reach out to a lot more. Quality and warranty on what ever you purchase would be what i would look for.

What kinda outfit is this, wonder if you could fish from it. What would you do with a fish if wanted to keep it. How is it in rough water. How many ways can you propel it. Are they very heavy. Are some better than others. What are some handy gadgets to have with it.

Mike that is a peddle powered fishing kayak. It’s set up to be able to get somewhere without manually paddling by using peddles that you push with your feet. I have an Ocean 13’-4“ kayak with a Minn Kota troll motor powered kayak which isn’t made by anyone anymore. The peddle kayaks are really popular. I have a fish bag I use to put my fish in. It keeps them safe from damage by using a stringer. Go to You Tube and watch some videos. I think you’ll like what you see.
