Glad you got out. Wind kind of sucks, but fishing with a friend at a nice lake like that, looks like a win to me.

Yeah, I love to get out there or anywhere for that matter. Still had a blessed day. I'm so lucky. Thank you Lord.

Thought I would post some pics. Only kept 1 fish bout a pound and a half for dinner. Partner caught 2 nice smallies but the wind was howlin and I didn't take pics of them. Some of the lake and 1 of this momma Merganser with 20 babies. I've NEVER seen anything with that many babies. 20 of them. Prolly can't see them in the pic though.

Good Morning Mr. Steve :)
Very nice, looks like a beautiful place to 🐟.

Hey Spirit. Are you talkin bout the last pic of Steve ,my partner? If so , that's a spinnin reel. Might not look like it but it is.

I saw the baby ducks but couldn't tell that that was a spinning reel. I zoomed in and it sure is. No telling what these feeble old eyes are gonna do. Well, that's why I asked. Thank you.

Took some looking but I found them near shore. Merganser is big at adopting another mother ducks brood, Usually around 10 ducklings so the other mother will lay another clutch of eggs. I have've commonly seen an individual mother looking out for as many as 50 babies, and sometimes as many as 80. It's a real treat watching them feed along the shore. They literally run on top of the water, driving small minnows and then if as on cue, the all dive in to gobble up the fish.

I saw a merganser with a baby tucked under its wing on the water, its little head just sticking out. I had never seen that before.
