They are a mild, sweet meat and what you don't eat, use for trout bait.
No plans to eat any I did not purchase them

Shoot I'm from Ohio and I even know about crayfish. As a kid we used to catch them in the creek and con a mom to cook them up for us. Was told them were poor mans shrimp.

Very small versions but freshwater lobster I believe.
Just a simple curious question. Why crawdads from a foreign country? Mississippi, louisana & arkansas raise them by the millions of pounds.

That is like Kroger selling bluegill imported from China. I think I will stick to my homegrown ones in my back yard.

Because we can't get those. No stores in Ca stock them that I know of. Now your turn WHY??
Crawdads boiled r good add spices in the boil..Don't eat any from china.. In fact try not to get anything from china.. That is almost impossible to do.. Together maybe we can change that

I saw these this morning I have never tried them but you or some of you guys say they are good
You’ll love ‘em. Down here we call them mud bugs. We cook them in a big pot of boiling water with spices added and corn on the cob and potatoes. It’s great just sitting around eating them and drinking a cold one. 🦐 🍺

When my brother and I lived in Louisiana we used to trap them buy the hundreds. We'd put them in large potswith water, potato's, lemon and crab boil. Invite the neighborhood.Beer and wine for adults and soft drinks for the kids. Crawfish, Crayfish or mud bugs break the shell behind the head and suck out the meat. Better than shrimp.
Crawfish is probably too slow selling in California grocery stores to be a profitable stocking item. California people may be too diet & health conscious to eat crawfish. Crawfish are extremely high in cholesterol. I've never been in a California grocery store but I'd bet there are food items in there that even a world famous traveler like Mister Twister hasn't ever seen. I will eat a few crawdad tails but do not break them open & suck the guts & all out of the shell. That, to me, is gross. I have never had a cholesterol problem so I could eat more but where there's boiled crawdads there's usually catfish & other food I'd rather eat. Good luck.

I did that twice Coon. The first and the last. I had drank too much the first time and got sicker than a dog. From then on it was just the tails and the vegetables and a little beer. 🍺
