I'm not too sure if they are necessarily spawning because I can't see their beds yet but they are definitely up close and you can see them. Probably transitioning. There some bigggg ones in there, I'm just not catching them (this is at a lake by the way). I did have three the other day on a football jig with a sweet beaver trailer but they were a little further out to the point where you couldn't see them (still shallow, just not too visible) and my goal to go for the ones I can see. Other than the jig I've already tried crankbaits, rat-l traps, and frogs to no avail. I know senkos would work but I'm out and need an alternative. I'm thinking tubes or something with a less compact, more tentacle-esk profile? Just need some ideas. Thank you!

Texas rig any plastics you have. If they are in one area, cast in and don’t move it. Wiggle a little when they swim towards it.

I’d try a crankbait or chatterbait I had a similar scenario a few days ago and the only bites I got were reaction bites

Try a floating worm no weight this typically works better post spawn but will definitely eat it when bedding

Try a crawfish imitation. Bass hate crawfish during the spawn.
Wacky worm no weight or 1/4 or 3/8 oz. Willow leaf spinner bait
I agree wacky worm I bought some spring worms from tackle warehouse haven't tried them yet maybe next week has anyone tried them.

I've caught visible bass in a 15+/- acre millpond, years ago, early or late (RIGHT about Dawn or dusk) / Hula Popper AND Jitterbug. Right on top of the water, like that. Just threw 'em right near on top of their heads & they'd gobble'm, right as they hit the water. Massachusetts.
