Well, I have say this about our cat, Dumon! She loves me. She will come around regularly and climb up in my lap and often go to sleep. Sometimes, when I am on my laptop, she will come across on a table, then to the top of my chair above my head and reach over and tap me on the back of my head to get permission to come down to my lap.

Before my wife developed allergies and Dumon slept with us, she would snuggle right up against my side and stay there all night. Now, she's not allowed in our bedroom, but will often stand at the door waiting for us to get up and give her breakfast. When I come to breakfast she will come and say good morning and often set on her back legs and wait for me to recognize her and give her a pat and facial rub. If my wife isn't looking, or away from the table, I will slip Dumon some of whatever I'm eating. She loves bananas! Usually, no matter what i'm having, she, like a dog, wants some too. Just sayin...RJS

A boy gave my Mother a grown cat just before I was born. It did not stay so the boy brought the cat back to my Mother. This happened two or three times. He then told Mother to put bacon grease on the cat’s feet and he would stay. She did and the cat stayed. Don’t know if the bacon grease had anything to do with the cat staying or if it just decided to stay.
