Morning Ivey and g1 and y’all. Boy do I hear what you all are saying about getting old. When it dawns on you that there is never going to be another day that you’re not in pain it really sucks. But then I see the mentally ill guy standing on the corner with his worn out cardboard sign and I realize my life is pretty damn good. Especially when I come through the door and my wife greets me with a kiss and a hug and a “ I love you “. Life is good. 🐠🕺 by the way it’s 42 heading to 55 with a chance of rain. Making a chicken coop today.

Abraham Lincoln was asked what the key was to happiness. His response, "I think a man is as happy as he chooses to be." Food for thought right now?

Fish, You are so right, life has been good to me also. There's a lot of things I could complain about but better off looking on the bright side. There's plenty of people who have it a lot worst than most anything I've ever had, heck several of my old friends didn't even get this far in life. When you have people who love you and your health, it's hard to ask for much more.

I second that, Oz....
Wife made banana/pecan wheat pancakes and omelets this “aftermorning” and I’m stuffed. Hope everyone has a good rest of the day. Very windy (25-30 mph) here today and 70*. Gusts to 50!!

Morning all. Getting to 90 here today. Boat landings to crowded to go to. I'll be doing home prodjects today.

SCREW the docks and boat landings; in this environment,
pick a nice small, fairly isolated
river or stream and go troutin'
somewhere AWAY from all the hubbub of civilization ! Find yourself a little solitude,
somewhere ! (Or is your season not yet open for that ? If trout are
a no-no, you could always try for river 'smallies' !)

We don't have the kind of trout I think your talking about down here. Got to go about 3 hours north. We have saltwater trout and not to many places you can catch then from the bank.

Okay, no trout ! What about
bass ? Any place within a short drive to catch largemouths, smallies, spotteds or stripers ?
Or do you fish the salt
exclusively ? Since you'd want
to avoid (possibly) crowded
docks or boat landings, are there any backwaters with decent
shore access ? Don't you guys have some fair-sized freshwater
stripers nearby, or do you
need a boat for them?

Well, 'G', good luck and tight lines, wherever you fish and whatever you fish for ! Incidentally, how do you prefer yours ? Baked/broiled/
fried/blackened ? (Inquiring
minds want to know !)

Just out of curiosity, do you get any dorado (mahi mahi) in your area, or are they a more southerly species ? I presume you get
'reds', yes ? Those two (and
snook) are species that I would like to try (both catching and eating ) !
