Thanks for the reminder! I had forgotten about that. I duck taped both sides of it, good as new, at speeds up to 45 MPH.

Little stupid stuff gets stuck between my ears sometimes.

Be safe.

You guys are so kind. It is just so much fun to communicate with so many folks with the same sense of humor.

That white collar world where one has to be politically correct all the time is such a drag. We might be off a little in our expressions but no harm is ever meant.

'Politically correct', my fat, lily-white butt ! Ever since certain
people started that BS, I seem
to revel in being 'politically
incorrect' as much and as often
as I can manage, just 'cause
I can ! Just my way of thumbing my nose at the so-called 'powers that be' and affirming my rights
and individuality ! I just flat-out REFUSE to conform to certain
social restrictions that I totally dislike and disapprove of ! I'm
sure you all know just where
they can stuff all that manure !

Morning all,
I always look forward to reading the morning reports from everyone.
Going to be 83 today. No rain on the forecast today but there are dark gray clouds outside right now.
After getting the cortisone shot the other day I no longer have pain in my left knee and I'm not limping so that's a good thing.
Took the truck in for the smog check yesterday and failed. Since I don't drive the truck that much the computer wasn't working right on the readings same thing happened two years ago. Today I have to take it out on the freeway for a drive then in town driving to reset the computer. In town I have to drive 35 to 45 mph for about 20 minutes then freeway 55 to 65 for about the same time. This will reset the computer just like last time. The truck sits a lot, I drive it around the block a every so often just to keep it moving. I guess that the computer doesn't like that.

Hi, Larry !
The wreck I've been driving failed to pass by just a few
points when I first bought it
(two years ago); I put in a bottle
of this additive called 'CRC - Guaranteed to Pass', drove it on the highway for a few days, then went back to try again ! It passed with points to spare ! I can't
personally guarantee it 100%,
but it did work for me when I needed it ! Incidentally, I drive
a 30-yr.-old, 1989 Ford Crown Victoria; it has issues and needs work, but it runs and gets me around (most of the time) !

Mine was the computer needing to be reset.
After I drove it it passed.
I always go to the same smog place it's a mother daughter operations.
She checked the mileage from two years ago and I only drove it under 600 miles in those two years. It's a 2000 truck.
I only use it to go to Home Depot and camping. Beach camping is about 40 miles away.

Thanks, guys, for all of the "safe trips" they are appreciated. The weather looks like it will be decent.

Just be careful on the road,
buddy, and keep a sharp eye
out for those 'less-than-great'
drivers who over-imbibe, pop
prescription pills like candy, or
are otherwise just A-holes and jerks on the road ! Looks like things are warming up a little where you're heading, so you probably won't be needing your
'winter woolies' or 'union suit';
still, road conditions can be unpredictable so take care !
Just be thankful you're not
driving through Phoenix; just
since Jan. 1st, there have been 1,175 incidents of wrong-way drivers on our highways ! Thirty-five crashes involved these
drivers; six of those crashes
have resulted in the deaths of sixteen people ! That's more
idiots in TWO MONTHS than
I've seen or heard of in over
50 YEARS of driving ! As they say in Canada; "C'est
incroyable !"

Not always!! Sometimes, with age just comes a sneakier way to do things.

Nice ! One thing I miss about
N.H. was the proximity to the coast; it was only about 40 min.
to the beach !

Whatever works ! From what I've been reading, it seems that many of us have acquired reputations
for being sneaky, devious and
underhanded ! Just comes with age, I guess !
