Once a month in the dead of winter. 2 to 3 times a week from spring to fall. Got to get some hunting in when fall gets here.

I don’t usually fish with my headlamp. It’s just that sometimes it’s dark by the time I get in I have to use it to see to load up and fasten boat down. In Kansas it’s illegal to hunt after sundown...

Birds its sunrise to sunset, Deer its 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset in S.C. Good scope you can get a little more time in the stand

Well right now I’m working full time. I’m a general contractor/handyman. And on the weekend We’re busy remodeling our house so I don’t have much time for anything else. I do have it on the calendar to go out to Poohs pond and do some fly fishing this Sunday. The house should be finished by the end of March so then I’ll have the weekends to fish 🐠🎣. Yeah!!!

Fish - You still get figured into the final averages even if it's just weekends starting in April. I need more people to respond to the question before I post final numbers and some comments. So far, there are some people who do a lot fishing and plan out of their home state fishing trips.

I'm retired and fish a local 40 acre lake daily. 7 days a week if it is not pouring down rain or I have appointments.

No. The topic title isn't about what you guys might be thinking about when you aren't fishing, eating or watching a game.

Just curious. How often do you go fishing in a week, a month? I realize weather determines this depending on where we live plus other factors.

This site has users from all over the U.S. Give me your best guess. Could be some interesting stats.

At least once a week (cold, rain, no matter). I work full time and my son attends school, so it's usually on Saturday/Sunday/Holiday. During Christmas break, we fished almost every day (wife insisted we stay in on Christmas--Ba Humbug). :-)

We tend to plan our local fishing trip on Friday nights.

Between working 55 hours a week, maintaining a house etc., means my regular fishing is limited to a couple of hours on Saturday and Sunday. I live in New England even if I like ice fishing, the winters have gotten warm enough few ponds freeze over any more. So I really don’t fish at all from November to Early March. Retirement is only a year or two away, and I can imagine two or three days a week fishing 😃

I hope when you retire, you migrate to a region that's WARMER.

We only fished once last year and nothing so far this year.
The ocean is twenty miles away and the bays even farther. Only caught one dinky bass in my lifetime.
Hopefully this year will be better.

Where I live in Brainerd Minnesota I'm limited in the winter due to the weather conditions. I can ice fish after the lakes are frozen and that's usually in December. We do have beautiful weather in late March until late Fall about October. I have lived in the Brainerd Lakes area of Minnesota since March 2017. The locals are "Minnesota Nice" most of the time, so it has been an easy transition. Our Son-In-Law lives on Mollie lake so I get to go quite often in his boat or I can fish from his dock. I really enjoy fishing in this area and I hope to buy a Kayak or a boat this summer. This is a learning experience from my previous residence in North Carolina and Texas Gulf Coast.

Quite a change for you. I moved from WI to TN. I don't miss the long WI winters. I do miss some family I don't see. By mid to late March it gets pretty nice here for anything outside. You probably had that in NC and Texas.

Alas, a full time job, plus farming 850 acres with livestock chores I only get out 3 or 4 times a year, except for the annual pilgrimage when I drag the 'toon to MN for a week of fishing. Looking forward to retirement in a few years to change that.......

Being a former cheesehead, farmers rock. Thanks for what you do on that farm. 3 or 4 is better than none. I appreciate your hard work and response.
