Well I looked for a light power casting rod and that's what came up, with a picture of a casting rod with the trigger handle. As I said, I've had bad experience with them, but that was a while ago, so I'm willing to give them a second chance. Just don't need another spinning rod right now.

Spirit,
Go to the Lamaglas site and view the product lines. There are a variety of decent freshwater rods at the lower end prices. There are also some very high priced rods which are also very good. All Lamaglas rods come with a lifetime warranty. If you have hade a problem with one of their rods they will make it right.
I have several Lamaglas rods for Steelhead and Salmon. They are great rods but just like any rod you need to tailor it to your method, target species and line weight factors.
You could contact them directly through the website and they will make recommendations.
I live close enough to the factory in Woodland Washington that I can just visit the showroom and pick their brains. It makes a big difference when you have a rod that matches your method and technique perfectly. And, it should be the last rod that you ever need.
That said, I do have other rods..well...just because a guy can’t have enough rods..or reels..or tackle... or boats. Yeh, I have the bug bad! 😃
Here’s the link to Lamaglas. https://www.lamiglas.com/

Planter fish at Collins but huge native Rainbow Trout at Natoma if you know how to fish it. Good luck

How did you like Jury duty? I've been a couple of times and once, I caused a mis-trial. It was a murder case. The judge called me back to his office and asked me some questions, : Did I say so & so to so & so and I said yes. It scared me cause when I was walking back to the Jury room, the murderer saw me. I thought ut oh! This question is for Saw1.

Goin out tomorrow, no jury duty, woo hoo. Will post pics tomorrow evenin, hopefully.

They must do jury duty different in your county. When I lived in Calaveras county if they didn’t need you the first day then that was it for a year. You were free and clear to go fishing without thinking about it for another 364 days.

You have to call the PH# and they tell you if you have to show up at court the next day. So far I haven't had to show up. Gotta call tonight to see if I have to show up tomorrow. If I don't ,THEN I am done for at least a year. Want to go fishin today , but cold and foggy. However, if I don't go today then I would prolly
be called for jury duty for sure and wouldn't be able to go tomorrow. Anyway, I'll be goin striper fishin on Sat. so it's not the end of the world if I didn't go today or tomorrow.

I certainly am. I just don't want to spend $200 + on a rod right now. I bought a Lamiglas salmon/steelhead rod for surf fishing and it's a pretty nice rod. So when I saw that casting rod for $30 off I couldn't pass on it. But, not what I was looking for. Just looking for a nice little light power casting rod for around 100 bucks.

Spirit I don’t think your issue is with Lamiglas but with Amazon. I’m sure that you and others know that they are of the best rods on the market. They are made right here in Woodland Wa. Along with Gary Loomis who sold out to Shimano but still manufacturers here. Also the new company he started here. You used to be able to go to the Lamiglas factory and buy their seconds which really had nothing wrong with them. They were the returns from sports shows or demos for about a 1/3 of the price. Just no warranty. I have about 15 of them of various lengths for Salmon Steelers and Kokanee. That’s all I use. Yes they are expensive but like they say “and you get what you pay for” It’s just my 2cents. And yes Jeremy fishermen’s marine is the fishermen’s toy store.

DD, you are absolutely right - not Lamiglas fault that amazon shows a picture of a casting rod and then ships a spinning rod. I'm sure the rod I received is a great little rod and I may just keep it to restore my faith in Lamiglas.
