Hey gang. I'm Richard1947. I just joined today. I'm from La Porte, Texas, retired from DuPont and currently living in the Ruidoso, NM area for the last 15 years. I'll be 73 next month and I've been a bass fisherman nearly all my adult life. I'm already into reading Forum material and excited about reading and learning more. Unfortunately, the bass fishing lakes here in New Mexico are 2-1/2 to 4-1/2 hour drives from my home so I only get to fish about 40 to 50 days a year here. I still make annual trips to east Texas to fish Crappie at Toledo Bend Reservoir and bass fish a few of the more prominent Texas lakes. I'm going to try my luck at Walleye fishing this year in NM but I've got a lot to learn. Hoping to chat with some of you soon.
Richard

Hey Rich, welcome to the stage. If you could enter your location in your profile then everyone will know where you're at and won't ask all the time. When do you go back to Texas? I go back every Sept. for dove season. I stay there for the whole month usually and hunt and fish with my cousin. He lives in San Antonio. I have a sister and BIL that live in Lubbock. My Mom lives with them, she'll be 92 this year. If you were in Texas the same time, maybe we could hook up sometime and wet a line.

Welcome Rich. The first Lobo on the site. A lot experienced walleye anglers on this site, I'm sure. Great info on this site, as you may already know, and some laughs.

Welcome Richard 1947: another Texan, I had always heard that the residents of Oklahoma and New Mexico were just Texans who had horses that outran the sheriff! Ha! Just sayin...RJS

Thanks for all the warm welcomes I received thus far. Just goes to show you that fishermen/fisher persons are the best people. I also updated my profile as suggested by a few. Tight Lines to all.
