I am right-handed and I never did like a right-handed reel and I always felt that a right-handed reel should be the left-handers reel just by how it is designed. Keep that reel and used and you will start to ask yourself why you never bought one before.

Spinning rod right handed cast best and boat or baitcaster left handed casting works best for me. Well both hands on big boat reel to cast a little. Jest what can you cast best with?

Cast with your right hand....reel with your left. Might take a short while to adjust, but you'll find your self making more cast with less effort.

The easiest thing to do is RETURN for replacement the reel

I think that the right-handed casting thing with spinning had to do with the finger-release of the line. Most folks can do that accurately and comfortably only with the hand they write with.

Well I cast right and reel right, but I don't wait until my lure hits the water! I quickly change hands during the cast and two seconds is SLOW. I am making long casts not short casts. It doesn't handicap me having my left hand/arm as a rod holder. I also want my right hand which is more "Athletic" than the left to reel and net while holding my rod with my dumb left hand. I guess I am the only one who does it or will admit it. LMAO
I agree with you,I do the same even though i'm right handed.

I'm not sure that it matters how you hold your pole and how you crank. The idea is to hook what ever kind of fish your going for and wrestle it into submission and get it in the boat or net, whether you are doing catch and release or catch and eat. IMHO if it isn't in the boat or net its not caught.

Random (my thoughts only)
