shoot to help me put it into perspective once when my brother was in college there we saw quite a lot of weirdos but the one that sticks out was the guy in shorts and a tee shirt in the dark in the winter who look like he was trying to fly as he flapped his arms repeatedly. In public.

CDB , that's probably caused you were raised country with good values. So keep it going and try to pass some of that knowledge and upbringing on to your fellow millennials.

Well the wife and I were someplace the other day and this couple ,in their 30's look like, walked by and the guy was about 6' tall , bald and his whole head was covered in tatoos, neck and all. He was wearin a t shirt and his arms were just the same. I looked at his girl and she was tatted up as well too but not on the face. Don't know how much of the rest of them was covered but he looked like he could have worked for a circus. Maybe he does but I wasn't goin to ask.

And in this tiny little, western town there's a woman that is not only inked to the max but every figure on her body has multiple piecing and ear gauges as big as half dollars. Looked like a picture from the 1960's National Geographics.

Wouldn't want that at all. Just what's visible turns my stomach. And millennial aside Gabe, this woman is well over 40!

It makes me mad to see these particularly women...being a guy I don't notice other guys so. But anyway when these women who would be really beautiful, ruin themselves by get tattued up, who is setting the trend that says that all this crap Tattoos, piercings, and hair dying to colors such as powder blue and purple, is cool? and when is this kick going to end.

Bein an ole country boy from Texas I know what you mean. Such a shame to us, but they could care less what a clean cut guy like us thinks. You can tell that by the type of guys they hang out with and the way they let them treat them. So sad.

Shoot the main reason I'm single is because apparently girls don't like boys that fight over them anymore this one girl said that she didn't think that her boyfriend would like to fight me..... I took it as a compliment, and they don't like to be treated good anymore this one rolled her eyes at me for holding the door for her.

Been 14 for me, Graywulff. I am real close to saying... I don't think "the one" exists. Two divorces (16+yrs & 9+ yrs) and half a dozen "dated for awhile" types and I have concluded that, of any gals my age (66), or close, those worth having are already taken or, like my 8 or so in the past 45 yrs..... narcissistic beyond belief, not as educated as they would have you believe, and while most have funds.... expect me to pay for everything we do as a couple. And strange as it sounds... every single one of them "likes long walks on the beach".... LOL !
If I am on a beach, it's to catch some dinner or to fly a kite !
Don't mean to dash your hopes, CDB, just a curmudgeonly old fart sayin'....."No, the grass ain't greener on this side."......."whatcha think about just paving the whole thing and starting over ?" LOL !

On the ink & hardware show of late --- I was in our local grocery store looking at produce when a youngish (adult, but probably under 30) couple cruised by, being quite loud and crass with their language in discussing the fruit etc.
She was resplendent in a wildly-colorful outfit and lots of facial studs and rings to go with her BLOND DREADLOCKS.
He was head to toe in black leather with countless menacing studs all over his clothing, tattoos on every patch of exposed skin.... including his FACE, as well as neck and hands, interspersed with piercings in places, like his cheeks and forehead (!) I was unaware you COULD pierce !
Naturally, I, along with others, could not help but stare at the spectacle. The guy looks at me and says "why don't you take a picture... it'll last longer "
Not sure where it came from, but I replied...."no thanks, but why don't you dispense with all this BS and just carry a sign that says "hey...look at me !!"
A spontaneous bout of laughter from all within earshot, including the produce manager, who had been keeping an eye on them, and they left immediately. Several shoppers came up to me in the course of finishing up my list and told me they heard my reply to him. All but one of them was basically congratulatory on my response. The one that wasn't ? The 18yr old nephew of a buddy of mine (who lives with his uncle, so knew me) who said "rather harsh, old man.... but a spot on answer, you shoulda actually whipped out your phone, man !"
Growing up, there were only a few groups of people who had tattoos, and with the exception of maybe the South Pacific Islanders..... you did not wish to be a part of any of those groups. They were : gang members, prisoners, reform school grads, drunken sailors and of course the ones who never wanted them at all.... Auschwitz etc. survivors.........yeah...... that's who had tattoos.

....and ear lobes.... not the whole damned ear or ANY other part ! ......were pierced..... just once........IF YOU WERE A GIRL !!!!!!

Okay, story told, rant is done.. sorry..... I just don't get it.... reverting to barbarian behavior.....is "Mad Max" our future look ? Hope not.... 'cause I like my cars shiny !
