Well, Dr. Fisherman bit me today. He took off my cast and xrayed me again. Put on a new one and said come back in two weeks. I got about 4 more weeks of this to put up with before he will let me go back to angling again. Seven stitches where that ol cat bit. Yikes, that had to be a pretty good old fight, but I was asleep with the meds when he bit me. Gonna have to start carrying my flashlight with me at knight. I’ll admit my eyes are not as good as they used to be. Lesson, youse guys had better watch what ya are doin when ya got older than dirt.
Here's your 2nd Opinion from Dr. Steelhead:
Take 2 aspirin & go Belly-Boating in the morning!
You'd be surprised what a little aqua-therapy does for the body & mind...

How did that happen? I know you must have told us, but either I missed it or don't remember. I do have CRS disease you know.

Hey Mickey, were those pics. from the same outing? All nice fish, both bass and trout.
No - over the last couple years (different shirts). The last two were from a deep, sandpit (wearing a PFC) & the first is a shallow pond....

I took a short walk behind my new building that we were building. I got the urge to go relieve some aquatic pressure and on the way back I stuck my foot under the brace that holds the scaffold up against the building. I fell forward and turned sideways and landed on my back with my foot still under the durned thing. I heard a crack while on the way down. I learned some new expletives while I laid on the wet leaves. It was cold and all I could do was gurgle some awful words trying to get my mind back to where it would function properly. I finally found my cell phone and called my wife. She had to find me cuz I never told her where I had gone. Nether lesson learned, tell her you are going out on a dangerous mission. This time it hurt. The last time I went deer hunting and fell out of the deer stand while I was making an exit. Fell four feet on my face in the briers and bushes. Now that hurt too, but I finally made it home. A 10 mile trip without me telling anyone I was going hunting. You know, a lot of folks get hurt or die because they don’t watch what they are doing. When we are young you don’t think you will be the one who suffers. I’ll be 77 next month, so I think I will start paying more attention where and what I will be doing. I like fishing too much to give into all those stupid antics.

Oh yeah, now I remember. Sorry. That's when I agreed with how careful we older guys should start bein. We need to learn to slow down and let people know EXACTLY where you will be goin and about what time we should be back. I hope to be able to take my own advice more.
I hear you sitn. There are quite a few really nice spots up in the Sierras that I've found since moving to Lincoln 22 years ago that I don't go to any more for just that reason. Just too dangerous and not worth the risk. No cell service in most of those places so you're definitely on your own.
