So I have been using Oakley polarized sunglasses forever when I fish, and a buddy of mine asked me if I could really see fish better in the water with them and I said yes, so I did a little research and wrote an article on it Here:

Do you agree that it helps? What brand do you use?

Thanks!

Yes, the better quality the better they work imo. I have some Maui Jim’s. They were also the lightest tint of all my glasses. I can wear them closer to dusk than my others

Cheap ones work just as well. Yeah some are better than others when you account for scratch resistance or frame fit. I prefer green color lenses myself.

Lense color depends on what water you are fishing, I prefer green or amber, and I love my Costas

Go to the eye doctors and buy from then and you are for sure to get the best quality glasses. When I was a teen Roland Martin promoted some glasses and I bought them and it turned out to be the worst pair I ever had and I went by his word so you never know what you my get with cheaper glasses but at least I was a pro like Roland.

I think decent polarized glasses can help see fish. They won’t help see fish if there isn’t any.

Ray Ban's work and are a lot cheaper than Oakley. With me it is more about the fit when on my face. long eyelashes, don't like to feel the sunglasses with them. Having said that,Polarized are easy to tell. take one and move the lense over another pair. If both are polarized you will see black through the lens. That is the key, Polarized lens. After that it is just personal choice. IMO of course

Costas are fine polarized fishing eyewear if you can afford them. Got mine with a gift card on sale.

I started using Maui Jim sunglasses. I had a problem with the one hinge so I sent them back and they sent me a new pair and I have the same problem with the same hinge on that pair. I glued the hinge so we wouldn't break any more and I keep them in the truck for driving. On the beach I use Oakley's now. They have one model which is tinted specifically 4 Fishing.

For me the most important thing is protection from sunlight. My eyes are very sensitive and without sunglasses I'm finished before I start. They protect your eyes lens from ultraviolet if they're coated properly. You can get sunburn on your eyes and it's no fun driving 75 miles home when you only have one eye open. The other reason was mentioned in the article was protection from branches and things. I always wear the glasses and my cowboy hat since I put a size 14 dry fly in my cheek because of a sudden gust of wind.

Yes!! I don’t go anywhere without my Costas while fishing. Little pricey but worth every penny.
Also valuable when fishing in shallow wates where stumps and other dangers lurk right below the surface.
Worth the $$

I have costas with glass but wonder if the plastic is just as good for vision and how scratch resistant are they
What is your experience

Every pair of Oakley's I've owned went missing.. Berkley Fishing has glasses that work just fine. Several styles and most are under $20. Agreed they aren't as scratch resistant as the expensive pairs but they fit my budget much better, and you can see into the water just fine with them.
