I was baptized in Cherokee lake many years ago. Didn't see any fish while I was under. Probably too intent on the proceedings. Pretty serious stuff for a kid to wrap his head around.
I think Henderson is close to the Ohio River if so you should check out the dams on the Ohio very good for all types of fish one of the fun ones to catch is the hybrid stripe anyway the dams are one of the best spots to fish.

Oh, OZ, I have many, many sheets. I'll try to explain tomorrow, it's been a busy day and it's confusing. Have a good evening.

Good night.
Probably starting to look like a road atlas.
Each state or parcel having a page.
You are doing great getting all to fill in their close location at leats.
Good job.
Hello, from North California you fished ocean so if you would like to catch the bait for salt water. Go for blue Gill or crappy but I like bass They are bigger and if you get them on top water wow . You can get a guide for one day and and go bass fishing.you can ask questions and learn a lot .I just got two poles at wall Mart ugly sticks 1/2 oz to 3 oz or 6 lb to 15lb at sportsman ware house I got shamono reels for forty dollars spinning you may have a bass pro shop neer you , I have been looking at YouTube videos on useing big glide baits but you will need to know water temp and depth big ones bite in fall and winter and when water get 55 to 60 degrees all hell breaks loose . Get a boat 12 to 16 foot and trolling motor .watch the top water action on YouTube good luck.
I moved here to Kentucky about 11 years ago from Florida. I fished both salt and fresh water all my life. Lived 1 mile from where the Santa fa River merged with the Swannie River . 50 miles from the gulf. I fish all year. Fishing for all types of fish. I use gear ranging from ultra light to deep sea rods depending on what I am fishing for. So far my largest fish here in Kentucky was a 43 pound blue cat caught below Nolan dam.. caught a cropper 1/4 in short of the state record in a private pond here fishing here is good all year long but you have to change your tactics according to the weather and the water conditions at the time and where you are fishing. I use natural and artificial bait. Have a hard time getting others to fish with me because when I go fishing I usually make it a full day or night.

Welcome to the Forum, MW. It's good to have you on board.
I live in Henderson Ky also. There are great areas to fish around here from lakes to rivers. My wife and I adopted three children, they are now 8,9 and 10. We been fishing mainly the Ohio and Green rivers right here in Henderson. We especially like the Green River at Spottsville just a few minutes out of Henderson. It’s a smaller River with light current. Has a very nice boat ramp and loaded with fish. There are several creeks feeding into the green that are boat accessible for a long way. It’s amazing how many nice bass, crappie and catfish we catch out of there. Your heavier equipment would be good there or the Ohio for cat fishing. For a fisherman this is a great area of the US for fishing or hunting. Try the rivers, I think you’ll find there a great place to fish year round. GOOD LUCK !
Watch some videos on bass fishing that will help you out a bunch fined out what baits to use also probably use the same baits as anywhere else good luck to you fish on.
