I have hit 2 on 49th street in trucks just north of gibbs rd, almost got one on a motorcycle all 3 jumpin the guardrail on the west side of the street.
Don't see them until their heads are over the road.
We have the rest of the week here in Pa. Unfortunately I was sick most of last week and didn't get out. It's raining today and tomorrow. Hopefully I can get out Wed and Thu and maybe Sat afternoon. Otherwise its wait until after Christmas and hunt with the flintlock
We have unti Sunday for regular firearms season in Ks.
Went through bow season without letting an arrow fly. Have been rifle hunting since the season opened and so far no shots taken. Not because I am looking for something bigger, just haven’t been seeing them. I hunt 3 different pieces of property, 880, 160 and 320 acres. This year It seems that I’ve been in the right place at the wrong time.
I’ve been bow and rifle hunting for 35 years and have only had a 3 other years like this. Still have until Sunday to shoot that buck, but if I don’t get one, I’ve had one hell of a good time.
I’ve been hunting with my grandson since he was 10, he’s 18 now and it has been so rewarding to me watching him grow into a very good and ethical deer hunter. He did get his buck this year. It was his first deer shot on the ground with his bow sitting in tall grass with a prefect 30 yard shot. It just doesn’t get any better than that!
Hi, Buck ! Glad to see you here
on the forum ! If you've posted before, I may have missed it, but I'm just askin' if you would be so kind as to update your profile to include a more accurate
(pinpointed) location, as we're trying to figure where everyone
on the forum is located !
Saw 5 yesterday couldn't get a good shot just watching them was rewarding.
Told the boys just like fishing is fishing, not catching all the time.
Hunting is looking. Not always filling your tag.
They are both ready to go again next year, talked about it driving home in the snow today.
