Fishing maniac completely misinterpreted my original post then called me a Chucklehead. I really don’t care if the person can not understand my post but calling me a Chucklehead is really uncalled for. After that many more people basically cyber bullies me after that which is uncalled for as well.
I think bringing in Wolves and Grizzly bears against the will of the hunters ended my love of hunting. I live in one of the best Elk and deer areas in Washington. Our local population is down 2000 Elk according to the game department. I used to see deer daily, now it’s a rare occasion. This is not a local problem, wolves and bears are problems in other states and areas of Washington.

And they will move in town as food gets more scarce, thats a fact.
When the people that want Wolves to prosper get chased by one or their children get eaten they will change their mind. I am all for preserving wildlife but when we give one of them unfair advantage or not let nature take its course we are out of line.
A lot of years ago, after the infamous Judge Bolt decision that said Native Americans Will get 1/2 of all the Salmon catch, (don't remember if any other species were involved) there was going to be a referendum that voters would vote on referendum about Commercial nets and should the nets be constructed so that those threatened/endangered species be allowed to escape. I think a majority of the sportsmen were for it and of course the commercials were against it. The commercials had a better advertizing campaign and brought up all the jobs lost and families would be out of work and the kids would starve and so on even though there were far more jobs in the private sector to be lost. This influenced a large part of the non fishing compassionate population and it was defeated. During that time I did some research of what generated the most income for the state. At that time Agriculture was number one. If I remember right, sport hunting and fishing was number 2 when you consider every thing spent to do that activity. License, gear, lodging, food, transportation and the list go on. Finally, over the years I have heard the statement of overpaid managers. Generally this is usually coming from those ignorant of the fact and were also subordinates. Having been a manager in a totally different field in the DOD I heard the same thing, but those making the comments were ignorant of the facts and a lot of time it was the old penis envy thing. It was I who shielded all the subordinate Engineers and Technicians from all the crap flowing down hill from my superiors. By the way an early Merry Christmas to all !
Oh almost forgot. I don't think the statement that Fish and Wildlife don't care about us Sportsmen/women, it is the POLITICIANS who dictate where our tax money goes and in a large part how it will be spent.
Is it ok to call people a Chucklehead? Especially when the person making this statement claims I compared it to Texas who’s is not what I ever posted.
If I remember what you said, I think what pissed some people off is bringing politics into it. If you are the one who did that ( and I think the statement was deleted) then that probably is correct and the next thing is an out of stater (Oregon) bashing an other state (WASHINGTON) might rub people wrong. My .02
I didn’t bash anyone. I was comparing two different state agencies in different states. I said employees are afraid to blow the whistle because they will be retaliated against. A few cyber bullies mid interpreted it and obviously reported me to an administrator but my point is fishinmaniac called me a Chucklehead and that post was never deleted. What a crock. Most of the posts were ALL political because the topic itself is a political topic. Washington State Fish and Wildlife is in the red. That’s a political topic in the first place. Then an administrator deleted all my posts. I think it’s basically cyber bullying. Retaliation for whistleblowers is what I typed but because I pointed out that it’s currently happening in Washington DC. A bunch of sniveling happened the rest is history. I sent message to administrator that I think it is bogus that someone can call another person a Chucklehead in here and majority were chatting about the topic and my posts are only ones deleted. Pretty one sided and not a fair shake. I made sure and sent texts to the guilty and none of them responded. The other stupid thing is when you report to an administrator ( supposedly) it puts your message in the thread. Yours truly Jeremy better known as CHUCKLEHEAD
I am way older than you, way older. in my day Chuckle-head wasn't considered as bad as a lot of 4 letter words. You know if it was me, I would just drop it and let it go, but that is just me. When national politics come into play, it will even impact close friendships let alone strangers.
A comparison of whistleblowers getting retaliation is all that I stated. No one here gets that.
I understand exactly where your coming from Jeremy. I know what you were trying to say. Apparently, some people just like to bitch.
Please stay in oregon .Washington is out of room .odfw is a joke .the fishing is terrible except for a couple rivers .
