Apparently Jeremy didn't want to respond to the comment he made about Texas fishing and hunting. Maybe if he learned a little more about other states he would know what he's talking about.

Sorry Jeremy, didn't see your earlier comment. You are right about hunting becoming more expensive over the years but places to hunt aren't the problem. Texas actually has plenty of public and private land to hunt on but it cost a lot to lease the land to hunt on. That's one of the reasons I stopped deer hunting as much and started fishing more. Its a lot cheaper to fish.

As for what's happened in WA. I don't really know enough about to comment on it. I'm just thankful to live in a state where our wildlife dept. cares about our hunters and fishermen and cares about protecting our lands and preserving them for our use.

Me thinks you guys gotta get your local state elected government people involved.
Start calling, sending letters, and squawking to your local need media. Remember the squeaky wheel always gets the oil. Good luck, do not give up!

The Knucklehead in Oregon was comparing a Washington State Agency
( WAshington FandW) to an Oregon State Agency ( where I have worked for 25 years). Some other person brought Texas into it. And I replied to them. I printed out that whistleblowers get retaliated on and then it went down hill from there. Just to clarify why this thread has degraded so badly in your opinion.

I go to Washington quite often to fish and I am considering hunting there but you probably don’t hang around Knuckleheads that have worked for the State of Oregon for 25 years.

Wow knucklehead. Someone else calls me a troll. Whatever. I come here to vent.... chat and whatever else. Someone else brought Texas into it and I replied. I guess I should take my Knucklehead somewhere else that was comparing an Oregon state agency to a Washington State agency. I have been employed by the State of Oregon for 25 years so I was speaking from real live experience.

Actually the term used was "chucklehead"
The only problem I had with the thread was that instead of focusing on the fishing topic you needed to bash our President. This is kind of a haven for me - no politics, no whining (ok, very little whining ha ha), and maybe a joke now and again.

You should go back and read ALL the replies. The Chucklehead in Oregon compared a state of Oregon ( my employer) agency with a Washington Agency. Chucklehead maybe I should change my screen name

TOO MANY overpaid Managers. I work for the State of Oregon. It has the same exact problem. Sinecure is a disease. The Management is corrupt. Management constantly lies and covers up their wrongdoing. Whistleblowers get retaliated against etc. it is pretty much exactly like the current situation with Trump. Trump was a crook way before he was elected by a phony election or the Electoral College ( which is NOT the people BTW). Oregon Wildlife is not far behind Washington. I spend over 200 bucks a year on licensing etc a year and never see any Deer or Elk to shoot at. I'm burned out on getting skunked in the state so planning out of state hunting.
